The devastating hurricane vseasons of 2004 and 2005 led to the Department of Insurance’s initiation of Emergency Hurricane Mediation Centers. We are very involved and experienced with this form of dispute resolution. Our adjusters have represented our clients in hundreds of mediations throughout the State of Florida. This kind of emergency resolution will no doubt continue in the future, especially if the predicted multi-decadal thermohaline circulation (THC) (warming of the Atlantic waters) continues to affect the Atlantic basin.
